The Division 1 Collective (D1C) is a revolutionary company that specializes in group licensing for college athletes. Our mission is to maximize the individual name, image, and likeness (NIL) value of college athletes by pooling their rights together and leveraging them to negotiate deals on their behalf. Founded by Zane Meeks, a current Division 1 Basketball player for Arizona State University, the D1C is committed to putting college athletes first and is dedicated to helping them reach their full potential.

Our team knows the world of Division 1 athletics. Founded by current Division I basketball player Zane Meeks, our team is built around a shared passion for Division I athletics and empowering players to get paid for their NIL rights.
Zane Meeks currently plays Division I basketball for Arizona State University. He founded the Division I Collective after a year of NIL deals that did not include the very things NIL is designed for: bringing back NCAA football and basketball video games, player jerseys, trading cards, and NFTs.
Gabe Rishwain is the COO of Division 1 Collective. He is graduating from the University of San Francisco School of Law in the Spring. He also has over 6 years of experience working with and on behalf of athletes in the sports industry.
A seasoned business professional with 9 years of Operations, Business Development, and Venture Capital. Early to growth stage operating experience. Proven execution of business ops strategies for top Fortune 500 companies as a Senior Business Operations Consultant (VMWare, Microsoft, Dell, Salesforce). Also proven BD experience with early-stage to growth stage companies. Invested in startups in the technology sector, and health/wellness industry after a career in the NFL. One exit as a co-founder of Foreman Farms (Sold to 420 Kingdom.)
With over 25 years of experience in the industry, including 17 years at the
Collegiate Sports Practice Group of Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, and five
years on the NCAA legislative services staff, Chris has a wealth of
knowledge and expertise.
Kevin O'Hagan is a founding partner of O'Hagan Meyer, a national boutique law firm focused on personal customer service. He acts as lead counsel for several Fortune 500 companies, has tried cases in five states, and has mediated cases in 15 state courts and federal jurisdictions. Kevin has also handled multi-district litigation and class action suits. He is licensed in Illinois and Virginia and has been admitted to practice pro hac vice in 10 other states.
Brian Skrip is a finance professional with experience ranging from investment banking to corporate finance to valuation. Brian is currently a member of the Valuation Services Group at Andersen, where he works on valuation engagements for closely held businesses, business interests, debt, derivatives, and tangible assets.
Mr. Meyer is an experienced attorney specializing in employment litigation and counseling. He has successfully represented employers in various employment-related cases and civil actions. Mr. Meyer has chaired the Labor and Employment Practice Team of LeClairRyan and is a founding member and president of O'Hagan Meyer. He is recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America and Virginia Business Magazine's "Legal Elite." Mr. Meyer is also involved in various legal organizations, including the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Richmond Bar Association, and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.
Grace Padon is a graduate of The University of Kansas with a bachelor's in Digital Marketing Communications, Advertising & Public Relations. She handles graphic design for The Division I Collective.
